I've been looking at how to express femininity through objects, mainly knickers. Using various materials, some with the addition of text, each knicker is a portrait of what may be classed as feminine. Not one thing can define femininity and not many objects can solely be associated with females.
I'm now considering display and the effects this can have on the work. I'm also looking to strengthen my research and understanding of my chosen topic with questionnaires. While I have the basis of my project realised, I'm hoping to broaden my work to include perhaps drawing and film projection to strengthen and add depth to my work.
I'm constantly aware of the male gaze upon my work and how the audience and forms of display can alter the work.
